CPD Seminar – Piled Foundations

Piled foundations can enable new buildings and structures to be developed on sites with poor ground conditions.  Development of the second generation of Eurocodes is now well underway and will bring major changes to geotechnical design, including the design of piled foundations. This seminar will cover key aspects of the design of piled foundations to the existing and new Eurocode 7, including:

• Pile classification
• The role of testing in pile design
• Treatment of downdrag and combined load cases
• Analysis of pile groups and piled rafts

There will be an interval half way through the afternoon and the seminar will conclude with an opportunity for delegates to ask the speaker questions in relation to piled foundation selection and design.

This seminar is recommended for all structural engineers involved in the design, specification, or SER certification of piled foundations.  This seminar is recommended for 4 hours CPD.
