(I StrE) COP26 Fringe Event Sustainability in the Built Environment: Panel Discussion
Thursday, November 11, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeStructural engineers are the professionals charged with the efficient use of materials such as concrete, steel and timber, and since 2019 the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) has been working to put sustainability on a par with its enduring commitment to safety.
The IStructE Scottish Regional Group invite you to an open panel discussion on sustainability in the built environment, ongoing activities across the industry, and the impact of this year’s COP26 conference. We have assembled a renowned panel of speakers – each a leading figure in their field.
This wide-ranging discussion will address topical sustainability questions such as:
• How will the construction industry change in the next few years?
• What is happening across the materials production industries?
• How do we encourage more re-use of existing buildings and infrastructure?
• What can a built environment professional do differently at work tomorrow?
Questions will also be taken from the audience throughout the evening. The event will take place in Glasgow during the COP26 conference. We would love to see you in person, but you can also join online if you can’t attend in person. This is a great opportunity to be part of the discussion on sustainability – why not join us?
