CIOB WEBINAR – Building Standards Hub Pilot – Recent changes to regulations!

Alan is a Director of the Scottish Building Standards Hub. The role of the Hub, which is currently in its pilot stage, is to support Local Authority verifiers and wider industry stakeholders to strengthen the overall building standards system in Scotland. Alan is a chartered building surveyor with 34 years’ experience within the building standards system in Scotland having previously worked for Glasgow City Council and South Lanarkshire Council. Alan also provides technical support to Local Authority Building Standards Scotland, this includes providing advice and guidance to Local Authorities and other stakeholders on technical and procedural building standards related matters.

Alan will provide an update on the Building Standards Hub Pilot programme, its aims, and objectives, and how it will seek to support verifiers and wider industry stakeholders, with a focus on the interests of CIOB members. He will also provide an update on recent changes to the building regulations and what changes are on the horizon for the future.
